There is a working area with desk seating space at the sub-press centre at the Thon Hotel Opera and at the press centre at the Bislett Stadium. Wireless Internet access is available at the sub-press centre, whereas there is cabled Internet access at the press centre and in the press tribune at the stadium. If you have a PC without a TCP/IP port, (for Ethernet cables), please bring the required adapter. No Wi-Fi is available.

For the photographers, there will be wired access points at the photo tribune and in the photo room next to the press centre at the stadium.

Public Transport

To the Strawberry Party from Thon Hotel Opera (Jernbanetorget)

Take a train or the metro from Oslo S / Jernbanetorget to Nationaltheatret. All westbound trains/metros stop at Nationaltheatret.
Alternatively, take bus no. 30 (Bygdøy), 31 (Snarøya) or 54 (Aker Brygge) from Jernbanetorget to Nationaltheatret.
Oslo S / Jernbanetorget is a 5-10 minutes’ walk from the Thon Hotel Opera, and there is a similar distance to walk from Nationaltheatret to the City Hall. The bus/train/metro journey takes 5 10 minutes.
On foot you’ll cover the distance in 15-20 minutes.

To the Bislett Stadium from Thon Hotel Opera (Jernbanetorget)

Take tram no. 17 or 18 from Jernbanetorget (in the direction of Rikshospitalet) to Bislett. The journey takes 10-15 minutes and the Bislett tram stop is right next to the stadium.
On foot you’ll cover the distance in 25-30 minutes.

The Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, is located approximately 50km (30 miles) outside the centre of Oslo. There is an express train service (“Flytoget”) every 10 minutes, which will take you to the city centre in 20 minutes. Fare NOK 170.00 if the ticket is bought at the ticket vending machine. A service fee of NOK 30.00 will be added if the ticket is bought at the ticket desk.
Taxis are usually around NOK 700-1300.

Rooms at special rates are available for the media at the Thon Hotel Opera.
